General update from Lombok

I’m now skipping Java *and* Sumatra, but at least I can say I’ve seen Lombok (and Komodo Dragons! see post way down there). I want to climb Mount Rinjani, which is the second highest mountain in Indonesia. I’ll climb to the crater rim, as it erupted in May and there’s still some lava flowing, omg!! Will be tough though, but nearly everyone I’ve talked to has done it. Just need to build up some strength first, stay in Gili Air and/or Gili Trawangan.
In the mean time I need to book my flight out of here(to Malaysia) before 11 September, I don’t want to end up with an expensive flight, and can’t overstay or extend my visa. EDIT: Booked, 10 September, Bali to KL, so have to get back to Bali first. Can’t find flights from here.

Last few days I’ve just been in Senggigi, recovering. Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time working on enjoyperth, and in the afternoon I bought washing powder and washed nearly all my clothes for the first time in a bucket (previous washes have been under the shower with shower gel). Also been reading, and drowning out the two mosques (one on either side of the hotel…!!) with music from my laptop.
And writing all this.
The hotel serves breakfast. A simple pancake and a cup of tea, but beats nothing!
On a side note, the last few places I’ve stayed I’ve not even had the option of hot water or flushing toilets, and am completely used to it now, have no desire to pay extra for either! Paying 100,000 here. Have a fan above the bed and a small sink, shower and toilet, small desk and chair, powerpoint. What more does a girl need? Just wifi, to upload all this ;)

I’m dreading/looking forward to Mt Rinjani. But first another small tropical island.
