Ok, I’ve been thinking about what to do with Enjoy Perth and my last stupid post! Ok, so it may not be great citizen journalism, it’s still a blog, and quite a lot more personal than some blogs out there (and very unpersonal compared to others).
I’m still not to sure about the ‘what we did’ posts, I think I’ll just continue like now, only have one once in a while when we do something worth writing about.
Also, I’m happy to ‘review’ things, but I don’t want people to search for something (like a festival, or a pub), and the first thing they find is my review (because most of my posts end up on the first page of google!)! I’d rather they find some general info, and a link to the official website if it exists! But of course a bit of personal opinion will always show through, sometimes more than other times.
I’m also starting to realise more and more that I’ve become a ‘citizen journalist’, and that many would now consider me ‘press’ and ‘media’. It’s very, very strange, mainly because I’m just doing something so basic, and I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing half the time!!! It’s all fun though, and I love learning! I should really look up the definitions of those words some time!
I’ve just realised the Bloggers Meetup is tomorrow night! Come on people, get down there! (I had better go rsvp myself!)
I should get there around 7pm, because I need to get into the city early anyway, need to deliver my macbook to Digilife to get the new parts installed.
