I downloaded the desktop blogging client Ecto today, for a three week trial.
I am already liking it more than the wordpress dashboard, but it isn’t perfect. Things that are bugging me are tags (I want tags, but not technorati ones), and that it only saves drafts locally. It also looks like I can’t edit the post slug there.
What I’m now doing is writing a post in Ecto (adding links is sooo easy, and I am not having so much hassle with linebreaks), publishing it, and then quickly editing it on the wordpress dashboard, or demoting it back to draft in there.
